VERDY's 'In Good Company' Exhibition at GYRE Gallery in Tokyo
Japanese artist and designer VERDY presents a new group exhibition at GYRE Gallery in Shibuya, Tokyo, featuring an international slate of artists whose work has inspired him.

Japanese artist and designer VERDY has unveiled a new group exhibition at GYRE Gallery in Tokyo, showcasing the work of artists who have inspired him over the years.
The exhibition, titled 'In Good Company,' features an international slate of 14 artists, including Zoé Blue M., Alake Shilling, and Reginald Sylvester II, among others. The show does away with a single theme, instead focusing on the feeling of being amongst those whose work you genuinely connect with.
Curated by Paulo Calle, VERDY's longtime collaborator, the exhibition spans painting, photography, and sculpture. It includes a painting duet by Zoé Blue M., cute and mischievous ceramic animal sculptures from Alake Shilling and Diana Yesenia Alvarado, and an abstract canvas by Reginald Sylvester II.
The exhibition "begins with a sense of feeling and resonance," the gallery wrote, "the comfort, familiarity, emotion, and creative inspiration that these artists and their works have brought into our lives."
The exhibition is now on view at GYRE Gallery in Shibuya through September 27.
