Girard-Perregaux has revealed two new watches to mark its partnership with the Atlassian Williams F1 Team. The Swiss watchmaker will sponsor the team from the 2026 Formula 1 season, moving on from its previous association with Aston Martin.

Both new models are based on the brand's Laureato sports watch, an early example of the integrated bracelet genre first launched in 1975. The collaboration has resulted in a 42mm automatic time-and-date watch and a 42mm chronograph. According to the source, the designs draw direct inspiration from the team's 2026 racing car, the Williams FW48.

Shared Design and Inspiration

The dials of both watches feature a Clous de Paris guilloché pattern executed in a signature Williams blue. Red accents on the dials are said to echo the car's keyline design. Rhodium-plated hands, markers, and chronograph rings contribute to a technical aesthetic. A discreet Williams "W" logo is placed at 12 o'clock on each dial, and a metallised Williams emblem is applied to the caseback.

The source notes that Girard-Perregaux's history with motorsport includes past partnerships with Ferrari in the 1990s and a sponsorship of the Aston Martin F1 Team from 2021 to 2025. The shift to Williams brings a corresponding colour change from green to blue for its dedicated timepieces.

The Laureato Williams Edition 42mm

This model presents a classic three-hand layout with a date function. It has a stainless steel case that is 10.68mm thick and water-resistant to 100 metres. The watch is powered by the in-house calibre GP1800 automatic movement, which operates at a frequency of 4Hz and offers a 54-hour power reserve. The blue colour theme extends to the date disc.

The watch is released as a non-limited special edition.

The Laureato Chronograph Williams Edition

The chronograph version is crafted from 904L stainless steel and features screw-down pushers with a crown guard. Despite its complications, the case measures 12.16mm in thickness and maintains 100 metres of water resistance. Its seconds hand features a red tip.

Inside beats the calibre GP03300-2451, a modular automatic chronograph movement. It contains 63 jewels and 419 components, runs at 4Hz, and has a 46-hour power reserve. Like its sibling, this is a non-limited special edition.
