Patek Philippe opened its seventh Watch Art Grand Exhibition in Milan today. The event features seven limited-edition watches reserved exclusively for the Italian market. Over 45,000 people had registered for the Milan edition a day before the public opening. The exhibition is being held at the historic CityOval building, formerly the Palazzo delle Scintille, in the CityLife district. It runs from October 2 to 18. This is the seventh edition of the Grand Exhibition since its inaugural event in Dubai in 2012. Previous editions were held in Singapore in 2019 and Tokyo in 2023. More than 500 pieces are showed at the exhibition.
Technical highlights of the flagship chronograph perpetual calendar
The centerpiece is the Instantaneous Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, Ref. 5978P-010. It combines a manually wound chronograph with an instantaneous perpetual calendar in its Caliber CH 29-535 PS QI, which comprises 500 components. The movement provides 55 to 65 hours of power reserve when the chronograph is disengaged and beats at 4Hz. Its calendar displays the day, date, and month in Italian, with all indications jumping simultaneously in 30 milliseconds at midnight.
The watch has a 42mm platinum Calatrava case with a thickness of 14.24mm and is water resistant to 30 meters. The red lacquered dial features a carbon motif. Additional indications include a moonphase at 6 o’clock, a day/night indicator at 8 o’clock, and a leap-year indicator at 4 o’clock. It also has an instantaneous 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock and a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock. The shiny red alligator leather strap features tone-on-tone stitching and tricolor stitching near the white gold pin buckle. The sapphire caseback is transfer-printed with the inscription 'Patek Phillippe Milano 2026'. This model is limited to 120 pieces.
Other limited editions shows craftsmanship and tribute to Italy
Five other exclusive models complete the Milan 2026 collection, many featuring Italian language indications and design tributes to the Italian flag.

The Minute Repeater, Ref. 7047G-010, has a manually wound movement and sounds the hours, quarters, and minutes on two classic gongs. Patek Philippe President Thierry Stern said his favorite is the red-dial Minute Repeater. The Perpetual Calendar and Calatrava models, with the Minute Repeater, form a trio honoring the Italian flag with green, white, and red dials. The Aquanaut features a Milan-specific red transfer-printed minute track and a red-varnished seconds hand. The ultra-rare World Time Minute Repeaters are each limited to five pieces. Their grand feu cloisonné enamel dials use 45 cm of gold wire and 16 enamel colors to depict central Milan during the day or at night. The city disk displays all city names, including 'Milano' in red, in Italian. They are powered by the self-winding Caliber R 27 HU, offering a power reserve of 43 to 48 hours. Each comes with interchangeable sapphire crystal or white gold back covers and hand-stitched grained calfskin straps.
The exhibition at CityOval concludes on October 18.
