Tudor Revives Northflag Watch with GMT and Master
Tudor reintroduces the Northflag tool watch in a 40mm steel case, featuring a new GMT complication and a Master Chronometer-certified movement, priced at

Tudor has officially brought back its Northflag watch, a cult-classic tool timepiece. The new model, priced at $5,525 USD, features a 40mm steel case, an integrated bracelet, and introduces a GMT function alongside Master Chronometer certification.
This revival represents a second-generation evolution of the collection. The original Northflag launched in 2015 was notable as the first Tudor watch to use an in-house movement. Its design draws inspiration from equipment used on the British North Greenland Expedition in the 1950s and the aesthetics of the 1973 Ranger II.
Design and Construction
The watch is housed in a 40mm case made from 316L stainless steel, with a thickness of 12.7mm. It maintains an integrated design where the case flows directly into a dedicated two-link steel bracelet. Finishes include satin-brushed surfaces and polished chamfers.
The crown is cone-shaped and screw-down, featuring a matte bead-blasted finish. The black dial is framed by an angled 45-degree rehaut with a 24-hour scale. It is equipped with monobloc ceramic luminous hour markers, arrow-shaped hands, and a vivid yellow GMT hand. The integrated bracelet includes Tudor's "T-fit" rapid adjustment clasp, which offers 8mm of tool-free micro-adjustment and uses ceramic ball bearings.
Movement and Certification
Powering the watch is the in-house Manufacture Calibre MT5652-U. This movement integrates the GMT function directly into its architecture. It features a non-magnetic silicon balance spring, a variable-inertia balance wheel, and a power reserve of 65 hours.
The movement and watch have undergone rigorous testing. They are certified to withstand magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss and carry dual certification from COSC and METAS as a Master Chronometer. The watch also offers water resistance up to 100 meters.
