Maurice Lacroix Refines Aikon Chronograph for 10th Anniversary
Maurice Lacroix updates its Aikon Automatic Chronograph for the collection's 10th anniversary, introducing a slimmer 42mm case, a new movement with a 60-hour power reserve, and five dial variants, priced at CHF 3,150.

The Aikon Automatic Chronograph returns with a new model for 2026, refining its proportions and mechanics. The updated watch features a 42mm diameter case and 14mm thickness, down from the original 44mm by 15mm, offering a more wearable silhouette. It is powered by a new movement delivering a 60-hour power reserve and is priced at CHF 3,150.
The design retains the collection's iconic six-claw bezel but reworks the case with rectangular pushers inspired by early Aikon chronographs. A newly added crown guard improves balance and protection. The integrated bracelet combines satin-brushed and polished links and includes a tool-free Easy Change system for swapping to a rubber strap. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres.
Enhanced Legibility and Dial Details
Improved legibility is a focus of the update. Rhodium-plated hands and indices are filled with white Super-LumiNova. The dial itself features a deepened Clous de Paris pattern with a raised pyramidal texture that scatters light. The layout of functions remains comprehensive, with chronograph counters at 12 and 6 o'clock, a small seconds sub-dial at 9, and a day-date aperture at 3. A concealed release button maintains a clean case line.
The collection launches with five distinct versions, offering a mix of tonal and contrasting styles.
Advanced Movement and Performance
At the heart of the watch is the latest ML112 automatic calibre, based on a Sellita architecture. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and contains 25 jewels. The movement's performance is significantly upgraded, with the power reserve increasing to approximately 60 hours from the previous model's 42 hours. Maurice Lacroix noted the Aikon collection combines "an integrated design with sporty details and accessible Swiss mechanics."
Finishing is visible through a domed sapphire exhibition caseback. The decoration includes perlage and Côtes de Genève patterns, along with a new openworked, rhodium-plated rotor bearing the brand's logo.
A Decade of Evolution
The Aikon collection was first introduced in 2016, with automatic versions following in 2018, establishing it as a core line for the Swiss brand. This 2026 update marks its tenth anniversary and enters the catalogue as a permanent collection. The brand, founded in 1975 in the Swiss Jura, has built a history on distinctive designs and complications, while maintaining the Aikon's defining features through numerous iterations. The update ensures the watch can run uninterrupted over a weekend, thanks to its approximately 60-hour power reserve.
