Tudor Revives North Flag as Northflag GMT Watch for 2026

Tudor has brought back its discontinued North Flag watch as the new Northflag GMT for 2026. The watch, now named as a single word, retains its core identity but adds a practical GMT complication and several design refinements, according to a hands-on report from Monochrome-Watches.

The original North Flag was first presented in 2015 and was significant for Tudor as it housed the brand's first in-house manufacture movement. After being discontinued in 2021, the model has returned with a familiar 40mm case diameter but with improved proportions and functionality.

A More Refined Case Design

The stainless steel case maintains a 40mm diameter but is now thinner and shorter from lug to lug. The original's distinctive black ceramic ring under the bezel has been removed, replaced by a fixed, brushed bezel. This change simplifies the watch's profile, which is further slenderized by a box-shaped sapphire crystal. The case also features new polished bevels on the bezel edge and case corners, adding a level of detail absent from the more utilitarian original.

A Dial Gaining a GMT Function

The black dial continues the strong use of white and yellow accents. The most significant functional change is the replacement of the original's power-reserve indicator at 9 o'clock with a GMT function. A yellow hand with an arrow tip now indicates a second time zone on a fixed 24-hour scale. The dial surface is now sunray-brushed instead of matte, and the hour markers are made from monobloc ceramic with luminous material. Monochrome-Watches notes that the dial, despite displaying more information, feels more logical and readable due to its symmetrical layout.

Updated Movement and Bracelet

Powering the watch is the manufacture Calibre MT5652-U, a true GMT movement produced with Kenissi. It allows the local hour hand to be adjusted independently in one-hour jumps while a separate hand shows home time. The movement is certified as a Master Chronometer by COSC and METAS and offers a 65-hour power reserve. It is visible through a sapphire caseback.

The integrated steel bracelet retains its broad, H-shaped links. Its most notable upgrade is the inclusion of Tudor's T-Fit clasp, which provides on-the-wrist micro-adjustment. The report calls this a small but important improvement for an everyday sports watch.

The Tudor Northflag GMT is a permanent collection piece available exclusively through Tudor boutiques. The publication states its price is CHF 4,500, EUR 5,050, or USD 5,525.
