Seiko, a renowned watchmaker, is commemorating its 145th anniversary with a unique collection of limited-edition watches. The 'Edo Purple' series is a tribute to the traditional Japanese color deeply tied to Tokyo's cultural heritage. This special collection reflects Seiko's founding philosophy of being 'Always one step ahead of the rest', blending historical symbolism with modern watchmaking. ## A Blend of Tradition and Innovation The commemorative series features six distinct models across Seiko's key watch families. Each model incorporates purple tones alongside gold accents, representing both Edo's legacy and Seiko's enduring commitment to enriching lives with beauty and innovation. The Prospex line receives two additions: the Prospex Alpinist Mechanical (Ref. HBC006) and the Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph (Ref. HBJ005). The Prospex Alpinist Mechanical features a purple dial, wedge-shaped indices, and an LWG-certified leather strap, limited to 7,000 pieces. The Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph, powered by Caliber V192, boasts a purple-accented dial and tachymeter bezel, limited to 8,000 pieces. ## A Diverse Range of Watches The high-tech Seiko Astron GPS Solar Dual-Time Chronograph (Ref. HAB011) features the Caliber 5X83, a purple vertical gradation dial with a horizontal line pattern, a titanium case, and ceramic bracelet center links, in a run of 2,000 pieces. The Seiko Presage Cocktail Time (Ref. HCB006) takes inspiration from the 'Edo Purple' cocktail, showcasing a translucent purple dial with gold-flake highlights and a GMT hand, in a 6,000-piece drop. The Seiko 5 Sports SKX (Ref. HDB003) reinterprets the iconic SKX diver silhouette with a deep purple dial, gold accents, and a glossy Hardlex bezel, limited to 9,999 pieces. Last but not least, the Seiko Selection 'Rotocall' Digital (Ref. HFL001) recreates the cult-favorite 1982 digital watch with an all-black coated case, gold accents, and an iconic purple rotary function switch, limited to 4,000 pieces. ## Availability and Details All models feature 'LIMITED EDITION' caseback engravings and will be available globally starting in October 2026 at Seiko Boutiques and select retail partners. The limited-edition watches are a testament to Seiko's commitment to innovation and its rich history.
