NOMOS launches two new Metro models with ice blue dials
NOMOS has introduced two new Ice Blue Metro watches: a 37mm hand-wound Date Power Reserve and a 40.5mm automatic Neomatik 41 Update.
NOMOS has introduced two new Metro models with ice blue dials. The releases are a 37mm hand-wound version and a 40.5mm automatic version, expanding the collection with technically differentiated options.
The Metro Date Power Reserve Ice Blue variant carries the reference 1121. It includes a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan leather strap. The Metro Neomatik 41 Update Ice Blue variant is reference 1166. It is paired with a grey woven textile strap.
Technical specifications differentiate the two models
The 37mm model uses the manual-winding DUW 4701 movement. The 40.5mm model features the automatic DUW 6101 calibre. The DUW 6101 provides a 48-hour power reserve.

The DUW 4701 movement measures 32.1mm by 2.8mm. It includes a patented quick-set date function. The DUW 6101 movement measures 32.5mm by 3.6mm.
Design details highlight the ice blue dial's architecture-inspired aesthetic
Both models feature galvanized ice blue dials. They shift from cool blue to nearly white depending on the light. The dials draw inspiration from contemporary glass-and-steel architecture.
The Metro Date Power Reserve ice blue dial features a tri-colour power reserve wheel in teal, light blue, and white. It has grey Arabic numerals with white dots on the minutes track. The Metro Neomatik 41 Update ice blue dial features teal markers on the ring date, light blue minute dots, grey Arabic numerals, and white hour dots.
Both Ice Blue models are water-resistant to 5 ATM, or 50 meters. They each have a domed sapphire crystal and a sapphire glass caseback.
The Metro collection maintains its minimalist identity through designer continuity
The Metro collection was introduced in 2014. Berlin-based product designer Mark Braun created it. The Ice Blue models retain the collection’s minimalist character. The inaugural Metro Date Power Reserve debuted the proprietary Nomos Swing System escapement.
The 37mm model emphasizes traditional hand-wound mechanics and an asymmetric power-reserve display. The 40.5mm model offers automatic winding and a graphic ring-date display. Mark Braun said, "Metro has balanced precision, negative space and playful color since its introduction in 2014."

The Metro Date Power Reserve Ice Blue has a sapphire caseback. It shows a skeletonized balance cock, NOMOS perlage, gold engravings, and sunburst decoration around the swing system. The Metro neomatik 41 Update Ice Blue features a ring-date display with the month around the dial perimeter. Two teal markers frame the current date.
