Seiko has launched two limited-edition Astron GPS Solar Dual-Time Chronograph watches for its 145th anniversary

Seiko has released two versions of its Astron GPS Solar Dual-Time Chronograph 2026 Limited Edition, each with distinct dial colours and strict global availability. The Seiko Astron GPS Solar Dual-Time Chronograph 2026 Limited Editions are available in two versions: burgundy-dial HAB010 and green-dial HAB009. Both models are limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide. The red-dial Seiko Astron GPS Solar Dual-Time Chronograph 2026 Limited Edition HAB010 and green-dial HAB009 each cost €3,200.

Technical specifications and design details

The watches feature black titanium cases, redesigned dials with precious metal accents, and an updated in-house movement with GPS time adjustment. The case dimensions are 43.4 × 50 × 12.4mm. It is crafted from black titanium with a super-hard coating on all four sides and features a two-piece octagonal bezel with faceted sides.

The dials feature crystal-inspired accents in yellow or pink gold tones depending on the version. They include an angled flange with a minute track, applied steel hour markers, and a UTC-scale rehaut. The hour markers have been redesigned with a more generous application of LumiBrite.

The movement is the new in-house caliber 5X63, replacing the outgoing 5X83. It features automatic time adjustment when traveling through time zones. If signal is lost for automatic time adjustment, the watch displays this on the dial. The movement is accurate to ±15 seconds per month with no signal. The watch has a 3-6-9 sub-dial layout instead of the previous 6-9-12 arrangement.

Bracelet, strap and sustainability features

Each model includes a titanium bracelet with Easy Adjust clasp and an extra LWG-certified leather strap. The bracelet is made of titanium with a mirror-polished center link and a folding clasp with Seiko’s Easy Adjust system.

Each watch includes an extra Leather Working Group-certified leather strap. The Leather Working Group (LWG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to responsible and sustainable leather production. Seiko is a member of the Leather Working Group. The quick-change system allows switching from bracelet to strap by pressing a button.

Part of a broader anniversary collection

These Astron models are two of six limited-edition watches released for Seiko’s 145th anniversary, all featuring Edo Purple and gold-toned details. Seiko's 145th anniversary was marked in 2026. Six limited-edition watches were released for the 145th anniversary. All six models have Limited Edition engraving on the case back and were available from October 2026.

An unnamed author asked, "What is rarer, a shooting star or two Seiko Astron GPS Solar Dual-Time Chronograph 2026 Limited Editions?" All six anniversary models, including these Astron editions, feature Limited Edition engraving on the case back.
