TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronograph Limited

TAG Heuer has launched a limited edition Monza Flyback Chronograph to celebrate the model's 50th anniversary. The watch, limited to 500 numbered pieces, was unveiled ahead of the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d’Italia 2026.

The new release pays tribute to the original 1976 Monza model. That watch was created to honor Niki Lauda's championship victory with Ferrari. This modern interpretation blends that vintage racing heritage with contemporary materials.

Forged Carbon Case and Stealth Design

The watch features a 42mm cushion-shaped case made entirely from forged carbon. This material provides a unique marbled texture, making each piece distinct. Forged carbon is noted for its strength and lightweight properties.

A fixed carbon bezel and a domed sapphire crystal cap the case. The crown and pushers are made from black DLC-coated steel. This creates a uniformly dark and stealthy exterior aesthetic.

Motorsport-Inspired Dial and Functions

The matte black dial draws inspiration from the 1976 model's design codes. It incorporates bold red accents and a layout designed for high legibility. White lacquered hands are filled with Super-LumiNova for visibility in low light.

The dial features two sub-counters at 3 and 6 o'clock. An angled date window is positioned at 9 o'clock. An outer black flange includes both a tachymeter and a pulsometer scale.

Movement and Strap Details

Visible through a grade 2 titanium sapphire caseback is the in-house Calibre TH20-12. This automatic movement is certified by the COSC chronometer testing institute. Its key feature is a flyback chronograph function.

This function allows the wearer to reset and restart a timing sequence with a single press of a pusher. The watch is completed with a black perforated calfskin strap. Red stitching on the strap echoes classic motorsport style.
